Terms of Service

TechResume ("we", "us") is an AI-assisted job-search app distributed through Google Play. By creating an account or tapping Subscribe you agree to these terms. This page mirrors the Terms of Service screen inside the app (Profile → 08 Terms of Service); where wording differs, the in-app screen in your selected language is authoritative.

01 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use TechResume. The service is a professional tool for job seekers and is not directed at children. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.

02 The Service

TechResume provides AI-assisted resume, cover-letter, interview and job-tracking tools. AI output is a drafting aid — you are responsible for reviewing and approving anything you send to an employer. AI output is not a guarantee of interviews, offers, or ATS pass-through, and does not constitute professional, legal or immigration advice (including for H-1B case tracking, which is informational only).

If you subscribed but have not used any paid feature, contact numbtibag@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

03 Trial and Quotas

Each device may activate one 7-day free trial (no payment method required), granted per device and verified server-side — reinstalling the app or changing accounts does not renew it.

During the trial, the following allowances reset every day:

• 3 AI resume optimizations per day
• 1 cover letter per day
• 1 PDF export per day
• 10 AI coach (Pip) messages per day

After the trial you move to the free plan (10 Pip messages per day, ATS score & report); your data is preserved. ATS check, STAR guide, version history and templates remain available to everyone.

Quotas are anti-abuse controls, not a guarantee of throughput. The values in force for your account are always shown on the in-app paywall and may be adjusted to protect service availability.

04 Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Google Play Billing and renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the Google Play Store (Profile → Payments & subscriptions); access continues until the end of the paid period. 05 Acceptable Use

Use the service only with information you are entitled to share. You agree not to:

• submit another person's resume or personal data without their permission, or fabricate employment history, credentials, or outcomes;
• use AI features to generate fraudulent, deceptive, unlawful, or harmful content, or to impersonate others;
• misrepresent your identity, attempt to bypass quotas, abuse free trials, or reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service or its API;
• upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property.

We may warn, throttle, or suspend accounts that violate this section. You can report AI-generated content you consider harmful in-app (long-press an AI message → Report).

06 Intellectual Property

Your resume and the content you create remain yours. The app, its design system, and templates remain ours; a personal, non-transferable license is granted for your own job search.

07 Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee interviews or employment outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for paid services is capped at the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Nothing in this clause excludes or limits:

• liability for death or personal injury;
• liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct;
• statutory rights you cannot waive as a consumer, including CCPA statutory damages; or
• any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

08 Service Changes, Availability and Termination

• Changes — we may add, modify or retire features to improve the service. Material reductions to a paid plan you are subscribed to will be handled under Section 09 (with reasonable advance notice, cancellation and pro-rata refund available).
• Availability — the service is provided on a commercially reasonable best-efforts basis. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party infrastructure (Google Play, DeepSeek, Cloudflare, Tencent Cloud), maintenance windows, or force majeure. AI features may be temporarily rate-limited or disabled to protect service availability or contain cost.
• Your termination — you may stop using the service and delete your account at any time via Profile → Danger Zone → Delete account; your subscription can be cancelled at any time in Google Play (Section 04), and access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Our termination — we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 05. On termination, your right to use the service ceases; sections that by their nature should survive (liability limits, governing law) do. Local resume data is yours and can be exported before deletion; deletion of server-side data follows the timelines in the Privacy Policy.

09 Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. For material changes that reduce your rights or add obligations, we will give reasonable advance notice via an in-app notice or email, and you may cancel your subscription and request a pro-rata refund for the unused period if you do not accept the change. Continuing to use the service after the notice period constitutes acceptance.

10 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, the developer's country of residence, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Nothing in this clause deprives you of the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your local jurisdiction where applicable law so requires.
